It’s so important to our overall spiritual, physical and emotional health to be able to remain calm, positive and at peace within the moment. We never know what could happen in a blink of an eye that can negatively impact our lives.
As a result, what can we do immediately when a negative emotion creeps up? For me, I have many tools in my tool chest to choose from. I can do a 15 minute breathing meditation or use positive self-talk with the main emphasis being, “how grateful I am for the life I have right now or I can do some exercise like yoga in nature, my house or health club. Sometimes I may have to use 2 or 3 of them at one time just to ground me back in the moment but the great thing about it is, the benefits are immediate.
So next time you catch yourself worrying about the future or dwelling in the past, try to use some of the tools I mentioned and I guarantee, you will have immediate relief.
